I am working on the following as well but anyone else who wants these instruments on the computer can also work on writing emulators for them! have fun and check out these instruments and if you know any other cool instruments feel free to write them into lmms. They will rock. for all genres of music really.
Feel free to add to this list of musical instruments!
Caw caw
bayan
accordian
bagpipes
triangle
cowbell
sitar
balalaika
ukulele
clave
rainstick
maraca
steel drums
mbira
low tuned chawasaria
Chemnitzer concertina

oh yeah if you write them before I do, consider writing effects for them. that way you could use all of the instruments across genres of music!
you just have to have effects for everything like percussion and all instruments! you never know how you will desire to effect your bagpipes or other instruments!

Is this a wishlist for LMMS? If it is, I hate to be the bringer of bad new but it probably won't happen. Emulating/synthesizing physical instruments is hard and time consuming for rather unimpressive results. Soundfonts are a better solution, but wouldn't be included due to their size.
Here is a link to a very large collection of orchestral soundfonts (with a lot of other random instruments included):

I do have more instruments for this list
notably any cool asian instruments like
Gong
and whatever from this website
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category: ... nstruments
look especially for asian style drums and cymbols and guitars. some of these instruments are very fun and would make great additions to lmms.
actually across all genres of music really. especially with good effects
Thank you and have fun

These are all instruments that can be gathered from soundfonts or samples or come as VST's. Nobody is going to add 42 million random instruments to LMMS.
