I dont know the game you wrote this music for.. -Is it a cover of the theme?
I think lmms can so much more than only one instrument. You could learn about filters, automations, and all the features in lmms, and use those for a fuller result, but for a one instrument chiptune, its ok.
I do think theres some overdrives, though
