How to connect external sound card

Hi

I am new in this and just downloaded lmms.

I have external sound card Presonus audiobox usb. To this card I have connected guitar.
How do I record guitar with lmms?

Another thing. After lmms installation when trying out al sounds and demos. The sound sounds very strange, like commodore 64 sound even if I choose drums.

Much will depend on what operating system you're running LMMS on. Are you on Windows, Linux, or Macintosh?

The Audiobox is a USB interface not a sound card. Generally you just plug it in and load any device driver it needs (which should be delivered with it).

But LMMS has no facilities for audio recording from instruments or microphones. You'll need another program for that. I use Audacity (it's good and it's free).

Sound quality may depend on the operating system, the version of LMMS, which audio device you have selected in LMMS and what you're trying to play the sound through so you'll have to give us more information to work with.
