Vst folders & midi routing

Hi,
Testing out LMMS for reliability. A few questions that I haven't been able to find info on.
There seems to be only a option to add one VST plug-in folder under the settings . What is the best way to configure vst folders (32bit & 64bit) for LMMS -VST reliability?.
For example, at the moment I have 64bit vst folder set. But then the 32 bit plug-ins don't show up in the 'add effects' in the fx mixer. They can been seen in the built in browser but I can't drag and drop them from the browser into the fx mixer ( Would I have to place all vst's (32 & 64 bit) into one folder?)
Also how do I chain a set of midi plug-ins.E.g - I load a Instrument and would like to use a midi arpeggiator to send midi to it.
Thanks for any info on the above.
The questions are regarding using LMMS in windoze 8 64bit.
LMMS 1.1.3
