unique piano electronica?

always loved the piano. made a couple piano electronica tracks using Madtracker2 a couple years ago, but never really liked what i was able to produce. started making this with LMMS.
... wasn't until recently that i found that piano-electronica is actually a thing ... found some nice groups out there that use it
would love feedback from people who've used LMMS a heck of a lot longer than i have.
