VST plugins - step by step asking

Hi everyone,
Ive started my adventure with LMMS recently, Ive got Linux Mint Edition. And ve got some questions:
Id like have some more options of instruments etc from outside, so think about VST plugins. How can I get Vestige (is it necessary to have Vestige if wanna have e.g. some vst plugins) plugin into my LMMS station and then how can I install each vst e.g. from DSK Musik, is it possible to play them on Linux or it has to be Windows system or maybe how to do it with using Wine? Im pretty not good at stricte using the interface but wanna be better;) Best regards, ciao

Yes you need wine to use vst, because most are .dll files, which Linux by it self can't use.
Some vst have .exe files, but a lot of those also work on Linux with wine.

Of course the path on Linux will be a bit different.
something like /home/username/vst/

If you don't see vestige in lmms on Linux, you don't have wine installed, or there is a problem with wine.
