So i took a loop and put it into lmms and it only plays about 3 seconds of it.

What format loop ? Where in LMMS did you "throw" it ? Sample Track or AudioFileProcessor ? If AFP did you try putting a longer note into piano roll to get it to play longer ?

I double clicked the loop from "My Loops" and it goes to the beat editor
and its a WAVE sound

Never seen a "My Loops", all mine are in "My Samples". But anyway....

How long is it supposed to play ? To work properly as a repeating loop you really need to get the BPM right so it lasts an exact number of bars/measures.

In the Beat/Bassline editor it will normally only play for as long as one bar/measure lasts and then repeat. If you open the piano roll and put in a long note across several bars it will play for longer.

But it may be easier not double clicking it but to try dragging it into Song Editor. Then open piano roll and put in a note as long as needed.
