Missing libsoundio packge from main repository

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
Hi!
I'd like to compile the testing versions of LMMS, so I'm getting my ubuntu ready.

I went to the wiki and installed all the recommended packages with dev file but one: libsoundio
I can't find it neither with the terminal or in the package manager (synaptic)
I'm using the ubuntu main repositories, the kxstudio ones and I tried adding debian stable ones, but nothing changes.

How do I install them?
What should I do with that?
Sorry but I'm not used to installing a dev package from source
On openSUSE, which I use, I would download that package, and then right click install with yast.

I do not know how to do this on Ubuntu, but it should be something similar.

You might be better off, asking this on an Ubuntu forum.

They can probably tell you which repository to add, to make this much easier.

Or they will know the right apt get command, which you then can copy paste.
Mm ok... I'll trying asking.
It's quite strange that the apt-get doesn't work.
Why would they delete that from the repositories?
Maybe there is an issue with it.

Or they moved to a different version, so it might be something like libsoundio1 or something like that.

There is no libsoundio at all xD

That's really strange.

Anyway, I'll try compiling from source and get it to work as a library...

Ok I downloaded it from libsound.io (latest version).
I had to install cmake, and then follow the steps written in the readme
Hope I will now get LMMS to compile correctly u.u

Thanks!
The first public release was in early September, so it's not really that surprising that libsoundio isn't in distros yet.
Yeah, that is a very new file.
