Note Length

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hello, I am having a serious problem with LMMS in trying to make a note of an instrument last longer than it would in the preview (if you want to call it that) when you click it before entering it into your song or B/B. I want to have something like a orchestral bell (very hard attack and smooth decay/resonance), but no matter WHAT I do, I can't seem to extend the note length. What happens is that the note lasts for a certain time (in milliseconds) and then it chirps/clicks and the rest of the note value is silent. For example I would use dong01.ogg under my presets/misc and no matter how I alter it (like in the instrument envelope screen for instance) the note length would remain unchanged unless I changed it to shorter than the original length.

Thanks for your help and assistance! Just hoping you intelligent individuals can help out a music maker with a foreign new software.
sadly lmms does not have 'sample-stretching' feature.
A sample will always play exactly as it is recorded, provided that you play it at the default register-position A4.
The sample will appear 'longer' if you play it at a lower register, but that will also alter the pitch!
Im afraid you need to use a different software like audacity, and stretch the sample there, and then use it in lmms.
