Anything I can do when a vst-PlugIn doesn't seem to work?

So, the last few days (actually only since yesterday.. but anyway) I've been trying out the Dune 2 vst in FL Studio (I use it sometimes for handling vocals and stuff). And now I wanted to try it also in LMMS, but when I load it up in LMMS (so Vestige, I guess) it shows the GUI of Dune 2, but then complete LMMS freezes. I've tried multiple times; But that happened always. I run windows, LMMS 64bit, Dune 2 is 32bit (could that be a problem?).

It's pretty sad, because I thought about buying that synth, because it's just powerful and pretty much the best thing that can happen to me. Is there anything, I could maybe do?

Thanks in advance!

You might be able to try a different host.

I never got Carla to work (on LInux), but one thing it can do, is use vst.
It has a windows version to.

So, I've downloaded (for windows) Carla, successfully launched it, but whenether I try to load any vst I have it always says unknown file extension. Am I doing something wrong, or does Carla only load LinuxVST things?

I know little to nothing about carla, but it should work as far as I know.

Edit if other vst work, you might be out of luck though.
