New Sounds & The hunt for the 'Good melody'

Hi guys!
I didn't work on music the last days. I had no motivation for this, because I'd like to make songs and do not like to work on song idea 2 and 3. I like to make new instruments but I don't know how

I am not in ZynAddSubFx and in triple oscillator i don't find new sounds.
Song Idea 2 and 3 are in queue.
How do I find new sounds?
Best regards
ACYDE

Start with a preset then fiddle with the knobs and switches. The sound will change a lot. Then go to the FX tab and add some effects (try chorus, phaser and reverb) then fiddle with their knobs switches. There are millions of different sounds just in triple osc + effects.
ZynAddSubFx is the most versatile synth but not easy to get started on. Try the video tutorials at
https://lmms.io/documentation/Video_tutorials to give you some ideas.

Thanks bro!
I have another question: When you start creating a song, how do you find a good melody?
Thanks! I will watch them!
The same question I asked Steve is for you too!

Good melody..
If i knew a formula, i would not be sitting here in an absurd cold windy freezer named Denmark, i would be driving my 'Farrari-testestorone' in LA or Monaco :D
Joke aside -listen to a lot of the music YOU like, and get inspired

Only two ways I know of finding good melodies.
1.Steal them from existing songs. If your ear is good enough you can just pick them out or you can get midi files for thousands of songs. You can take fragments from them, change them around a bit and you have a new melody.
2. Experiment a lot and save anything that sounds good to you. You'll find somewhere that you can use some of those bits sooner or later.
There are plenty of tricks for making sure you don't have really BAD melody that doesn't work with the rest of your song. But there's no way to guarantee finding a really good one apart from listening a lot and trying things out.
