What instrument plugin?

Which instrument plugin do I use for an MIDI file?

MIDI files effectively just contain the key presses so you can actually play them with any instrument you like. It just depends on what sound you want. I've used everything from 3OSC to Zynadddsubfx and various VSTs.

But when you import a MIDI file it sets up tracks with SF2 Player to give you the "standard" GM2 sounds (If you have a suitable Sound Font set up).
