virtual guitar plays fine in Piano-Roll, but not Song-Editor

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
I have a virtual acoustic guitar loaded into Vestige. It plays very well any pattern I compose in Piano-Roll. Sounds great. But when I playback from Song-Editor, with each note it only plays a very short scratchy sound, like the very beginning of the strum-sound for an acoustic guitar. So the Piano-Roll and the Song-Editor are processing the instrument differently. Is there a setting I can adjust that will make the Song-Editor playback this instrument as well as the Piano-Roll does?
This does not occur in LMMS with other guitar vsti's I use. It only happens with this one instrument.
It happens the same in both versions 1.1.3 and the beta 1.2.0.

If you already have chose SDL as your backend for windows, then i'm afraid that this one guitar, wont work in lmms
-What is it?
Where did you get it?

Besides that since you are new here

It's Native Instruments Strum Acoustic. It plays beautifully in Piano-Roll. Why not Song-Editor?
Try this. :)
In the Song Editor, copy the Vst and melody track, then, delete the original one.
See what happens from there. :)

ok, tnx

I remember a weirdness, so i need to ask you:
Have you by chance any muted tracks in song-editor?
If so, try to unmute the tracks. Does it then play?

You will crash lmms if you copy VSTs tracks, so be careful about that.
brandystarbrite, no, there is no change if I copy, then delete, then replace the original track.

musikbear, no, there are no muted tracks, this is the only track, at this time.

additional info, this is only one of several instruments in which an arpeggio preset works great in piano-roll, but does not play in sound-editor.

another example is Linplug Spectral. The Bassline 1 preset uses your note-chord progression in piano-roll to generate a great-sounding bassline, but only plays the very beginning (about 1/32) of each note-chord, when you play it from sound-editor. So sound-editor refuses to play the arpeggio. This happens with every other arpeggio preset in this instrument, and is the exact same thing which occurs in the other instrument I mentioned.

So there's some processing hang-up that occurs in sound-editor, but not piano-roll, with some arpeggios available in some virtual instruments.

Native Instruments Strum Acoustic isent that a commercial instrument?
Did you buy that, or is it a test version?
Linplug Spectral wont 'speek' with me at all, 'they' say i do not have the size of screen, that they made their homepage in... (!)
Must be inspired by current usa adm. i guess...
ok, thank you very much for trying
