Freeboy sound problems

Hello there. I have a problem. I've bought a new computer and now my freeboy instrument started to make too many noises and too little pure sound. The sound is awful. I have no idea why. Can anybody explain what's matter. Thanks.

have you made sure you use the same sound-device as you used to? (on previous pc)
You should as a standard use the SDL as sound-device.
Otherwise, there could be issues with tyhe new pc's soundcard. Do a hardware check.
What are the new pc's specifications. If you have onBoard sound (chip, not card), you could have issues..
Also exchange freeboy from the project for each and every instrument in lmms -Is freeboy the only part of lmms thats gives you issues?

Sound device is the same - ALSA. And the sound card is Intel HDA, yes it's built-in. I'll try to use my external firewire card, but it's hard to do without proper documentation.
All the instrument are working perfectly. When I change something in FreeBoy the sound changes hardly. Almost the same noisy sound in any position of encoders

yes, freeboy has a problem. If you use ch4, you get Noice -eg crackleing noices. Try to disable ch 4, that removes the noices for me.
! Ch4 is supose to make noice, but its difficult to get it right
There are properly combos that also removes the noices crackles.

( btw - do you know that you can draw a waveshape for ch3 in the blank field next to 'Vol' ctrl? )

Yes, I knew what you said about ch 4. I have problem with ch 2, which suppose to make clean sound (as it did previously for me). The sound from ch2 is cracky and not periodical. I'm getting mad.

But I didn't realise there were small glitches in it? Probably because I never used it much. Hmmm...............

Hello, i know this post is old but i have the same problem. And it gives no solution.
i have:
Ubuntu Studio 13.04 fresh install
KxStudio repositories
LMMS 0.4.14
Intern soundcard intel hda and extern native instruments komplete audio 6
Everything work fine except freeboy ( pulseaudio, alsa or jack config don't change anything). Rossbox seems to have exactly the same sound in freeboy that i have : noise and not regular. i have tested every freeboy channel one by one on the two sound card with all audio config in lmms.
ideas?

Did you try SDL option in sound settings?
