LMMS comes pre-packed with some great stuff, but I'm glad that I've branched out into using some extra programs for new sounds. I was curious as to what kind of VSTs or soundfonts you all are into using, free or otherwise.
Recently I have really enjoyed using
DSK OranZe and
String Theory, but I'm always looking to try out new ones.

I can't say I use any VSTs, but I do love soundfonts! I mainly use soundfonts from this post:

One that deserve to be mentioned is Oatmeal, because of the sound quality :)
It is however a tad difficult to setup.
And MDA piano, because of the fine sound in a tiny package

Apart from Synth1 my current favourites are DSK Indian DreamZ and DSK Asian DreamZ but that has more to do with the type of music I like than anything else.
Oh and not free but I love my Xils-Lab XILS3LE, just because I always wanted a real EMS VCS3 but could never afford one (and still can't

).

Sonatina Symphonic Orchestra paired with sforzando. They are great samples, nice realistic sound, and a huge selection of instruments for free. Since they are in sfz format though, you need sforzando and its respective VST to make them work in LMMS.
EDIT:
