Settings Aren't Saving

I have just installed LMMS, and for a few minutes my portaudio settings were saving. Now, they aren't. Whenever I change my settings, they are instantly forgotten. When I click edit, then change my setting to portaudio, and click ok, and I check it again without restarting, it's instantly forgotten. However, when I look at my lmmsrc.xml file, the settings are correct. I don't get why this is happening. I have looked at other people with the same problem, and I've tried reinstalling it, and deleting the file, but it doesn't work.

My OS is Windows 7 64 bit SP1

You have done this correct and kudos to you for first having searched, and found how other have had and solved this problem!

But you use windows, and then i recommend SDL and not port-audio.
What you should try is to
* close lmms
* reboot, or inspect task-manager for anything (reboot is the simple way)
After boot
* move .lmmsrc.xml away from its folder
* start lmms
* You should be given autosettings in the new .lmmsrc.xml
In settings choose SDL and close lmms
Reopen lmms and check if you now still have SDL, if so, just press cancel, and you should be good to go.
