Output and Input MIDI channels does not match

Hello,

When I set the Output MIDI channel to 3 with LMMS, it is well transmitted to my Yamaha digital piano... but the signal is received and editable on Yamaha channel 2.

Same thing if it set the Output Channel 4, it is received on Channel 3 on my Yamaha.

Do you see any reason to get this shift?

Thanks for your help ;-)

That's because the two are separate. The input channel would be used for manipulating the plugin, i.e. using the channel to connect a synth to the piano's keyboard. The output channel is for the plugin to manipulate other plugins. i.e. giving an autotuner a note sequence to tune with. So you can't have the two match because they are for different purposes.

normally all midi data numbers (in your hardware on soft synth) start from 0
but some sequencer can show it as starting from 1

0 = 1
1 = 2
3 = 4
...

you sholud check connections
