Copyright Issues, hrrrm

I noticed that some of the samples in the sharing platform were licensed under the Artistic License 2.0, but that license says:
(1) You are permitted to use the Standard Version and create and use Modified Versions for any purpose without restriction, provided that you do not Distribute the Modified Version.
Permissions for Redistribution of the Standard Version

(2) You may Distribute verbatim copies of the Source form of the Standard Version of this Package in any medium without restriction, either gratis or for a Distributor Fee, provided that you duplicate all of the original copyright notices and associated disclaimers. At your discretion, such verbatim copies may or may not include a Compiled form of the Package.
Wouldn't using the sample in a song "modify it", thereby making it impossible to distribute the song?
On a side note, is there a reliable program that can embed a creative commons copyright without uploading it to a website? Thanks

Can you specify which sample(s) ?
When someone upload samples to the LSP, that person should know that these samples are being used as samples. Samples found anywhere on the net would have the exact same 'issue', but its almost impossible to know, in all directions.. For samples it is definitive NO! -to distribute collection of samples in your own name/fame/income. Dont do that!

Copyright can't be embedded into a track, it is either implied at distribution/upload time or "All Rights Reserved" (most restrictive) is automatically assumed legally.

The sharing platform puts Artistic 2.0 as the default license, which is not very smart. When you see that license used on the LSP it means that the uploader did not know to change it, did not know what to change it to, or in my case, could not find what they wanted to use.

The way I understand the Artistic License 2.0

You can use and modify them, but only need to tell who made the original.

That's at least true for all my tracks.
