Is it possible to use an Android tablet or phone as an external keyboard controller for LMMS?
I have been told about VPMK on the tablet. Does anyone have any experience here? I just want to enter simple tunes on a keyboard, and I can't get used to using the laptop keyboard keys.

I have no experience with that, but LMMS should see it as any other MIDI input.
So open an instrument, go to the MIDI tab, and chose it as midi input.

Does VPMK work with other programs?

I think you'll need ipMIDI support on your computer for VMPK to work. Do you have that up and running?
