Tutorial 34
PAD SOUND
Today's tut, is a special one.
We will make,.........a cool sounding
Pad sound.
Using,
Synth 1 vst.
First off, Bring
Synth 1 Vst into Lmms.
1) Open a good old
default initial sound bank.
-----------------------------------------------------------
2) For this example, we will select the
Saw symbol, for
Osc 1 and
Osc 2.
(Or, if you want, put
Osc 2, on another, symbol.)
But for this tut, we're using the
saw wave, for this specific sound.
-----------------------------------------------------------
3) Now look for the
det dial, which is located near to Osc 1.
And turn that dial to
17 or a bit more, if you want.
Det stands for
Detune, in case anyone one wanted to know.
-----------------------------------------------------------
4) Leave
Mix and the others, on their default positions seen in the pic.
-----------------------------------------------------------
5) In the good ol'
Amplifier section.
A = 74 or slighty less, if you want.
D =
0
S =
124
R =
82
Things to note: Turning the
A dial, to a number
way less than 64, means,
that the sound will start sooner, or instantly, and less airy.
Turning the dial
slightly higher, or
higher than 64, means the sound will take
longer to build up. And will sound more
airy and
light.
For those who want to know, what the letters mean:
A means
Attack
D means
Decay
S means
Sustain
R means
Release
----------------------------------------------------------
6) In the
Filter section.
frq =
81
res =
14
sat =
43 or slightly more.
And make sure
Vel is
on. If the dot, above the word
Vel, is
Green, that means
it is on.
----------------------------------------------------------
7)
LP 24 is where we want it.
----------------------------------------------------------
8 ) In the
Unison section.
Press the
Unison button to turn it on.
Green means it is
on.
And turn the
Pitch dial to
7.
----------------------------------------------------------
9) Go to the
num section.
Leave it on
2.
Or, press the top
grey square button and raise to
3.
---------------------------------------------------------
10) In the
Tempo Delay section.
We turn the dials.....
fdbk =
Turn this up a bit, if you want, but not too much.
d/w= This dial does magical wonders.
Turn this up slightly more, if you want.
----------------------------------------------------------
And that's it.
This tut will be updated soon, and more info, will be added to it.
So enjoy playing around with the pad sounds. And
Happy Padding. Lol!
