am i allowed to sell my exports?

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
I was wondering, since this is a free program, am I allowed to sell/release what I make with the software?
That is a very big "it depends". If the samples and instruments you used are licensed by very nice people, e.g. with a creative commons, royalty free, exclusive nontransferrable for commercial use, then the answer is YES.

I would think you could as long as it is stuff you are creating of your own and not copying or stealing from others.
You are allowed to sell everything. Lmms grp does not own anything you made. It is YOURS entirely to sell, lease, swap and/or get 'dubious services' for....
:p
Here i often add:
When you buy the first or at least the second villa in the Carribic, lmms would be quite happy for a donation :p

That said, it is ALSO entirely yours responsibility, that anything you have used, is not owned by other. Lmms grp has no responsibility, it is -yours- and yours only, if you plagiarize Lars Ulrich or Sting or Elton or or or :p

Thank you for telling me! now my only concern about the program has been answered.
Until you don't have copy content in your music you can sell your export. The only issue arise when you copy others material and they claim for their content. Otherwise there is no issue.

Not exactly true sir, I spent an hour or so trawling the internet and found out that LMMS's native samples come from varying sources, a few searches even turned up the same "Ableton live electro crack..." sample pack from some torrent site. Hrmmm. I wouldn't touch any commercial product containing the native samples with a thirty-nine and a half foot pole.
Yes I might be overreacting, ( I couldn't exactly read the license terms on one Russian site,), but I certainly have my doubts.
God Bless and good day
"Ableton live electro crack..." that is not in native lmms.
What i said only has validation for native lmms, eg the 'factory' dl
Said pack must be something you have added :)
