I downloaded an accordion VST. It's 32 Bit, as always.

I drag it into the song editor, and then it automatically freezes. I have no idea what to do.

I would appreciate any help

Vsts can be dirty buggers sometimes, have you considered using the GM Musescore 1.44 Soundfont? It has an accordion setting. You can find it here http://www.schristiancollins.com/generaluser.php

[edit: I fixed the link, It's good now, The accordion is in bank 0, Patch 21]

He! He! That's an interestingly good way of putting it.

I can't seem to find the accordion Sf2 on that site.

the link he gave you is to 'general-User' It is the sf that emulates the midi-table, with all its instruments and patches. You need to browse through the many 100'drs of instruments, and find the one you like. I believe there are 16 banks and 300+ instruments in GU. Do also observe the many percussion banks. Very useful, if you import midi-files. The 'Drums' preset in zasfx has the same midi-outlay, but only the drums

In General Midi soundfonts the accordion is #21.
