You have
massive clipping, but i almost think that it is on purpose? The thing is. The distortion you get from clipping is not controllable. That mean that you cant know how you music sounds in someone else's speakers.
Instead of clipping-distortion, you should use a crusher or similar
Camel-crusher used to be free, but i believe it has been gone to commercial

A compressor will kind of 'keep' all sounds
inside certain limits, often you use compressor on percussion, in order to keep hats balanced with the kick. a different approach is to use a limiter.
