Bass Sound

Heya all,

Relatively new to LMMS and DAWs in general. I'm trying to get a pretty basic bass sound that's like the one in this song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROKcr2OTgws (You can hear it pretty much throughout the entire song). I can't really get (or after tweaking some presets) to produce that somewhat very gentle bass guitar feel. Any idea how I could get a similar sound? Also, there're some detuned bass notes in that song. If I want to mimic that, does that mean I can't use a VST for the bass (afaik in LMMS you can't detune notes if it's a VST plugin?)?

That's a lovely bass sound. 8-)
These game tracks have so many cool sounds. :)

It is possible, that this sound can be replicated in Synth 1 Vst.
Or Triple oscillator.
If I have time, I'll try and see, if I could recreate this bass sound in Synth 1.
No promises, because I'm busy making tuts these days and other game related stuff. 8-)

The subtle bass is a typical standard bass guitar or even made with an acoustic classical contra-bass.
I actually think acoustic, because it would make sense with the alberti-style guitar playing through-out.
Bass_5 in zynAddSubFX is close, but need some EQing

One thing I used for the bassline in my latest track.

I have one synth that is really playing the bassline but....

I am also using the synth for the melody to make the bassline more fat.

( so below the melody part are the same notes as in the bassline. around C3 )

It is possible, that this sound can be replicated in Synth 1 Vst.
Or Triple oscillator.
If I have time, I'll try and see, if I could recreate this bass sound in Synth 1.

The subtle bass is a typical standard bass guitar or even made with an acoustic classical contra-bass.
I actually think acoustic, because it would make sense with the alberti-style guitar playing through-out.
