Soundfont Issue

I'm sorry if I sound noobish here, but I'm having a problem that only occurs with certain samples when using soundfonts in LMMS. For example, I'm using the Mega Man X soundfont. When I listen to the samples in Polyphone they sound good and loop at the proper points, but in LMMS some of these samples sound more like someone repeatedly hitting the key over and over again very quickly. I obviously can't properly use these samples this way as this prevents me from having long notes. Does anyone know why these aren't playing properly in LMMS?

It is a strange problem, but not new :(
That specific sf acts strangely in lmms -not sure its a proper sf2..
I gave this answer to an other lmms user, and the VST should be rather good

Afaik, there is no other sf's acting this strange in lmms, at least noone has reported any :)

Huh, I wouldn't have expected someone else to have already asked my question, considering how specific it was. Well it sucks that this specific soundfont is just plain strange, but that's okay because there's plenty of other soundfonts out there with similar sounding instruments. Also that VST seems pretty useful! Thanks for the answer! ^^
