How do you get, sample track to play without begining start?

I'm currently writing a piece over a vocal track but I can't write to certain parts because I have to restart the track from the absolute beginning for the sample track to play at all. And this is extremely irritating. Does anyone know how to edit the sample track so I can hear the rest of the track without having to restart the song? Cause I really can't accomplish this by restarting the song and waiting until it gets to the part I'm at, that's just insanity. Anyway, thanks guys!

Now, I am quite sure it's impossible to make it start from A point you want it to. However, you can open it with AudioFileProcessor so you can use the dial that cut's it up, so you can try and find the point that you were at :)

Hope this helps,
Leche

wooo lmms has 'things' in common with Dtrump... :p

It is annoying -There is only one thing you can do: Restart every time, but tweak the BPM, so you do not have to wait. You can make an automation for it :p
I demonstrate this in a design proposal.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the advice and everything. Managed to figure out a method but nothing probably useful to anyone. Just the long hard way.... Here's the final track if you guys wanna hear it. It's a Paramore Remix of Ain't It Fun if anyone cares.

Hi,
why didn't you cut the audio into several sensible sections and placed them consecutively?
I imagine, (but didn't test so far,) that you had had to 'rewind' to the last section-start only.
Wrong?

BTW: I'm planning to do similar things, so I wonder hard about one more question:
How did you manage to get a correct timing to the pre-existing audio-track,
as the tempo-control has integer-steps only,
and there is no 'tap-tampo'-function or alike?
(At least I didn't find any.)

Thanks
and best regards

PS.: Shocking good work, your remix! Just had a look at it! Great!
Where are a capella-tracks to get for titles like this? (Sorry, offtopic. )
