As it is now, it crashes, even with version 1.9.

Can you please provide some more details? What exactly is "SampleTank 3"?

SampleTank 3 it's proprietary sampler.
there are lot of more samplers with better compatibility
in exmaple: linuxsampler, lmms sf2, sforzando
