PLEASE HELP! LMMS crashed, and i lost 5 hours worth of work, and no matter how hard i try, i cant remake it! Is there a way to get my song back? I started making the song today, and i havn't saved it ever yet! Please help!

Sorry to say this, but unless you had enabled autosave feature (in which case there should be a file named recover.mmp inside your lmms folder) and haven't opened LMMS since the crash, then no.

Not true sir, There should be a file with the same name as your project, but with .bak at the end. Rename the file by deleting the .bak. At least some of your progress should be saved in that second file. Ignore the warning that comes when you rename it.

Unfortunately not. The OP clearly said that he had NEVER saved the project. So it didn't even have a name yet and it certainly wouldn't have a backup file which is only created after you reopen a saved project.

It's obvious that this is not an error, but a mistake. There is no solution, but there is a lesson to be learned.

When doing computer work (be it audio/video editing, drawing, word processing, etc.), save often and save properly, don't just rely on autosave features alone. Develop a good habit of saving and organise your files properly. It will "save" you the hassle of having to start things over.

No, It didn't click that he hadn't saved the project at all
