Something wrong with lmms share rating system

I have observed strange behavior of project share rating system

1st Rating - 5 stars
2nd Rating - 5 stars
3rd Rating - 3 stars

From comment I suppose that the 2nd rating was 5 stars.
I can not follow the algorithm that computes the aggregated rating.
So I suppose the 3 ratings were:
5 start, 5 start, 1 stars
The resulting rating should be (5+5+1)/3 = 3.66666 so it is 4 not 3.
How the rating could fall from 5 to 3?

Anyway in my opinion the current stars rating is not good for such purpose. It would work only if the rating is anonymous first and the result is shown after rating time.
Now the rating is continuous so the user are affected by current ratting.

Example:
The user do not like the song. He see that the rate is 4 but he suppose it should be maximal 3
He will not get 3 but 1 to drag the rating to minimal possible value and rich 3 that he suppose to be right.

Anyway I do not find any description what is the meaning of 1-5 stars.
Is 1 star inaudible music? Or just poor music? What is the meaning of 5 stars (professional, hit, good work)

IMHO the fair rating should be similar to this one used by youtube, facebook or soundcloud.
The should be only positive and negative rating (I like it, I do not like it). The result should be just a count of this 2 categories.

Honestly, i dont think the system is fully activated. LSP is in need of an overhaul, in respect to file-types, and logic in folders versus categories. I think mostly of LSP as a neat place to upload anything you like to share, and i am not sure you should pay too much attention to ratings. As long as it is possible to log in, upload securely and dl files that is secure, i think LSP fullfil its purpose
