A question -Motivation lost

Hey guys!
I have a problem:
I have no motivation + inspiration for new music. Is this just a phase or something? I don't want to stop making music, but maybe a inspiration pause helps?

Go listen to some Two Steps From Hell music, and tell me how you feel afterwards. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3swwx ... Tvom83tPGg
When I listen to their music, it inspires me and makes me want to keep producing. I want to become as good as them and that is what keeps me going. There is something about epic music that makes you want to do something great.

Ah, yes. The producer malaise. what a pain. Here's what I recommend. Go listen to a couple of the most mind-blowing tracks you've ever heard. Then don't try to replicate them. Just let their melodies sit in your head for a couple of hours, and sooner or later you'll probably have a new melody pop into your head. Then make a song with that melody. but don't listen to your reference tracks. You'll be more creative trying to figure out what gave you the pumped up feeling, than copy-pasting it.
Secondly, learning a little music theory helps too, by which I mean, learning structure. I didn't realize that rap verses typically had 16 bars until a few years after i was writing them. Once I learned that, verses were much easier to write because I was no longer just trying to create a formless stream of epic. Also, learning structure and music tropes lets you make "surprises" in your music easier. Hope this helps
God Bless and good day.

Totally normal. If 'it' comes back, you will know, and then you can continue

Every musician goes through that problem. Including myself. :P
And I haven't released any music yet. :P
So don't worry. 8-)

I know that feel. I'm not motived at the moment but I would like to make something even if it would be crappy like some of my tracks. :)
