Hey Guys,

So I'm pretty new to music. This is the second song I've ever released to Soundcloud, and about the 6th song I've ever actually made.

I'm completely in the nube category right now, so any advice anybody can give me would be awesome. Thx!

Melody: [510]
The melody itself is alright, kind of repetitive though.

Percussion: [3/10]
Way too repetitive.

Mixing: [7/10]
Mixings not too bad.

Sounds:[3/10]
Kinda dry and don't go well together tbh. Try using different sounds.

Overall:[4/10]
Not bad for a first timer, just try and take my advice. If you want new presets, there are a ton here on lmms's /lsp/.

Thanks a bunch. This was more of an experiment than anything else, but it's good to have some objective feedback. Appreciate it.

yeah i'm not really a fan of this one, except i like what you did at about 2:16, was nice to have some variation.. but like the last guy said, try to work on selecting your sounds, these are just too bland

Well, appreciate the feedback. I couldn't seem to find any sounds that flowed naturally with the ones I had picked, but maybe that's the whole point. Idk, will keep working. At any rate, thanks.

You have something going here.
Take the synth sounds, used in this track and just spice them up, or brighten them up a bit.
Then, if you want, add a Chorus Flanger or Reverb etc. to the melody synth.

2:15 to 2:22 secs was nice. Cool trick dude. Doing that, made the music sound cooler.

It isn't a bad track. It's really kinda nice, but all it needs, is a good bit of improvement.
The synth sounds, just need a bit of brightening up and improving.
And more variation on the melodies too.
