So, I'm wondering if you can assign different sounds/instruments to a single keyboard. This is the best way I can think of in order to using drums (assigning different drum kit sounds to each key.).
This is without a real Midi controller and without a vst. Just wavs and lmms.

If you're not using MIDI what sort of keyboard are you talking about ?

I don't think you can do it without a VST. Have a look at viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5457 where we've just been discussing multi-samplers which is the way most people do what I think you're talking about.

Thank you for your post. Fortunately, I've found an easier alternative.

Hi..i am new user here. I want to know how you can implement all on a single board? Also what Midi Controller you are using and what are its specifications? I also want to know about that VMS..what is that and why you are using that only.
