Hi everyone
I'm new to LMMS, but it's got me hooked right from the get-go. However it doesn't save the sound settings when I restart the program-so I can't get any sound.

I'm using Windows XP 32bit.

that soundt like the 'not standard english charachter set' problem

If you in any of your paths in the Settings dialog, has used charachters that are not in the normal standard english language, that will happen.
Im danish, and i have to avoid using æ ø å in my foldernames in the lmms tree.
If this wasent the problem, let me hear from you again

hoped that it was that simple known glitch..
Perhaps this then

its really strange because xp-32 is reliable as it get..
If you do not solve the issue this time, you could try to de-install, and re-install in a new folder.. but thats ..lame :/

Could you take a screenshot of your settings dialog with all the paths?

I did try a re-install, but not to a different folder. Perhaps that is the next step.
Here are some screens. No matter what settings I choose LMMS starts up the same way-no sound.

Let there be SOUND!! whoot its fixed.
it wasn't exactly what it said to do in the fix you mentioned, but I made a few adjustments and got it to work.
