how to VST?????!! :)

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hi everyone

I switched from windows to lubuntu a week ago on a acer inspire1 and, i think one day after i discovered lmms 1.1.3 and installed it :D
since then i try to make any (not included) VST plugin work (.so and .dll )

there are lots of posts on the net on this, and a lot is written about a plugin called VeSTige, and then there are some tut that simply say 'just use the plugin path', (does not work!! :| )

the version of lmms i installed does not contain VeSTige (aas far as i can see) and to get it from somewhere else seems not to be possile
(I have Wine installed ) so i tryd installing different versions of lmms which just led me to the same outcome (whyever :D)

so how can i make the vsts work?

looking forward to answers

Hi, Welcome to the forum Somy! First, For you, all important links:

And a few rules for Avatars, signatures, posting and using the right sub-forum :)

As you already knows, VST in linux depends on wine.
I think perhaps your best choice is to use the KXstudio's distro witch is the one that most has full success with:
KXStudio "lmms-vst-full - Linux Multimedia Studio - full VST support Using Wine"

Let us know if you have succes.
btw.
The actual VST-plugin in lmms, is described here:
