Golden Puppets REMIX PACKAGE & SHOWCASE

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
So, I've decided that it's high time I open up one of my songs for people to remix. I've decided to upload the project file for the original version of Golden Puppets. That can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/af1gdg1vk8vus ... .mmpz?dl=0

The original soundcloud upload can be found here:
https://soundcloud.com/davisjacobym/golden-puppets-om

I'll repost any remixes of the original along with adding them to a playlist for all the remixes. I myself did a VIP mix of my song, which can be found below. I do not intend to release the project file for the 2016 VIP Mix.

If you have any questions/submissions, please shoot me a dm on either the forums or on soundcloud!
Ok, quick update to the showcase! I've decided to change a few of the conditions, but trust me, it's REALLY beneficial in my opinion.

So, I've come to the conclusion that if a remixer so desires, they may obtain written permission to distribute (or sell) their remix however they choose. Basically, all I'd want you to do is make sure you DM me either on Twitter, Soundcloud, or the LMMS forums page. I'll review your song (just to make sure it's not a direct clone of the original or the VIP mix) and then from there I'll work out the details with each artist individually to get them the written permission to distribute or sell their remix wherever/however they'd like.

Also, I've decided on a upload format for soundcloud. Essentially, when a remix is uploaded, I'd like it to be named in either of the following formats:

Jacoby Davis - Golden Puppets (<artist name> Remix)
Jacoby Davis - Golden Puppets (JD vs. <artist name> Version)

The reason I'm specifically mentioning this is because I understand some artists would like to be listed as having more credit with a song they remix, and in the case of the Original Mix, I figure if anyone ends up making an amazing mix, they may as well be granted the option to be listed as a collaborator. So I'm giving people the option to list their remix as a collaborative version instead of just a remix.

One last thing: I would kinda like to get a headcount of which artists are planning on doing a remix. So if you could shoot me a message via Twitter, Soundcloud, etc., I'd greatly appreciate it! Good luck to everyone who is participating!
So I'm planning on closing down the link to the remix package Saturday night, so if anyone wants to remix Golden Puppets, grab the package from the link I posted before then!

Also, I'd like to know if anyone is planning on remixing or is still working on a remix of Golden Puppets. If you are, please lemme know so I can get an idea who is planning on giving it a go!

Thanks for bringing this subject back to the top of the board, or else I would have never seen it.

I will download it tomorrow, and once I'm done with that thing I'm doing. ;) maybe I'll do a remix. I'd be late. But whatever.

It is one of my favs that you produced.

Don't worry guys.
Its possible, that the reason many probably didn't respond to this yet, is because alot of the Lmms users, are busy posting a ton of tracks in the music projects section and working on other songs too.

I will admit, for the last few weeks,
I have never seen so many songs, posted in the music projects section, in such little time. :|
And some of them, are posting like 5 to 7 tracks in a day or two.
But as I say, keep it coming guys. 8-)
so im looking at the Project File, and you use beat and baseline editor for everything...like...why...I know people use it. But I have always found it so confusing.

For me, its easier for me to cut the song up into smaller sections. I use the beat/baseline editor to group specific instruments to specific sections so that I can better edit any repeated problems all at once rather than having to go and fix it over and over throughout the song editor. Think of it like programming garageband loops and then just plugging them in wherever you want them to be. If you edit that one loop, it edits all copies throughout the song. Granted, I've gotten better at organizing and naming each of them since Golden Puppets. Back then I wasn't quite so good at remembering to do that...

Makes sense, the way I do mine, is all out the song editor. I have my lead at the top, automations for that said lead under it. Bass...with automations under it. Extras with automations under it. And then the drums, sometimes I have the drums before the extras. Although, when you have 20+ instruments and automations.. I could see how beat and baseline editor comes in handy.
