Adding drums to existing tracks?

I recorded a little song on my guitar using Audacity, and imported it into LMMS to add drums to it. It works great except that I have to listen to the whole thing every time.

I added the .wav file, put it as one looooong note in the piano roll, and did it that way.

Is there a better/easier way to do that so I don't have to listen from the beginning of the song every time I make a change? I want different drums/effects for the different parts of the song and transitions.

Thanks in advance.

Never mind, I just found the answer (after searching all morning).

For those who are similarly looking, the solution: Add (left click) on the first beat of a Sample Track to create a block. Drag your sample to that block.

ah yeah, that didn't work either. I should have played around more before posting the solution.,..

How can I get it to play from where I click instead of only from the beginning?

The only way I know is to break the song up (in Audacity) into seperate .wavs, e.g. intro, verses, choruses and then load each into its own Sample Track block.

Basically LMMS isn't very good with audio.

Ugh, not the answer I was hoping for. Oh well, it would be a nice thing in a future version. Thanks Steve
