I checked my VST directory but for some reason it's listed as being on my C drive in a directory called VstPlugins, I actually have LMMS on my D drive. I also did a search for the VstPlugins directory but apparently I never had one to begin with.
Hi there. I had the same problem last week. I couldn't find my Vst plugin folder on my Win 7 PC, because, strangely, there was none. So, thanks to owalllgren's advice, I made a new folder in my .........Program files/Lmms/plugins folder and named it Vst plugins folder.
And I made another one, in my Users/Brandy Starbrite/LMMS/ and named it VST plugins folder.
As owallgren suggested, you can put the Vst's anywhere you want, but he suggested you put it in the LMMS folder, where you made your new folder called....."VST plugins" since it makes more sense to put them there. And is in most cases, makes it easier to find too.
Note: I'm using LMMS 0.4.13 64 bit for my Win 7 PC.
If you want to read more on this topic. Go to this same LMMS forum, click on TROUBLESHOOTING, and find this topic...."Help! Where do I put my VST plugins" by brandystarbrite.
Hope that helps. Bye.
