new(ish) laptop- recent update led to zero functionality soundwise (it seems to be exporting just fine) - I've uninstalled/reinstalled multiple versions, same problem everytime. I've tried all sound settings (save for sdl, which I don't understand , bit slow in that department). Anyone have any advice/instructions regarding this?

Why not SDL ? That's the one that's recommended for Windows (and works for me).

Do other progams produce sound normally ? (Just checking that you've not just muted the speakers ).

It's like when you bring your car into a mechanic and it inexplicably stops making the noise or doing the thing that prompted you to bring it in in the first place. After several re-installs SDL is now working. None of the settings had been working up to this, I don't know why. Probably an update or driver issue that resolved itself over night

Even though you now have sound, and can use lmms, its kind of unsatisfactory. The problem may return.. If it does feel free to ask for more help
