Getting my Midi keyboard to work

So I recently got the akai mpk midi keyboard and for some reason, it does not work with LMMS. I know the actual keyboard works because it works with garage band but when I go to link it up with lmms the option to select my midi keyboard does not pop up ! Btw I am using lmms on mac please help !

MIDI is not supported in the stable version 1.1.3 as it says in the release notes https://lmms.io/download/#mac (look for Known issues)

It may work in the beta version 1.2.0-RC1 if you try that (but I'm just going by the release notes, I know almost nothing about Macs).

Im afraid that you are out of luck. MAC is only experimentally supported, and afaik neither midi or Vestige is available on MAC

I do not know if that will discourage you from using lmms, but if not i can see that you are new in our forum, so-

MAC development is in progress, but it will not be improved significantly with the upcoming release 1.2. Sorry.
