Need help about MIDI

Hi today i have buy a MIDI pad controller (akai lpd8) but i do not succeed to use it with LMMS.
The software don't recognize the pad ...
I have installed the driver of the PAD and i connect it before launching LMMS.
I have sometimes the same problem with my piano.
(sorry for my English level )

Edit : i have succeed to do a midi mapping with "Grace VST"
