VSTs will not load in LMMS

I have LMMS 1.0.3 on a computer without internet access, so the only way I can get materials off the internet is to download them and move them with a flash drive. I have followed the intructions on this website:

But every VST instrument plugin (including Synth1) gives the error:

The VST-plugin /media/HD-PZU3/Music stuff/DVS Guitar.dll could not be loaded for some reason.
If it runs with other VST-software under Linux, please contact an LMMS-developer!

I've tried this with both Wine 4 and Wine 5. I am using Debian.

I feel like I'm not giving enough information, but I'm not sure what other information to give. Hopefully you can give a diagnosis with the information given. Thank you!

Are you sure that after you copied all, the rights are set right ?

So lmms and wine are not owned by root ?


One thing to try, is to start lmms from the command line, then try to load an vst and see what the console tells us.
