I stopped using dsk vst on linux, because they cause to much trouble.

Not all dsk are bad but some turn my lmms into a crash happy application.

Are you on Linux or Windows ?

Computer specs ?

As Gps says DSK is tricky, and you can find better VSTS.
I will like you to read:

-and strongly advise you to get Synth1

Besides that since you are new in our forum;

Wooah! You got alot of good help already. :)
Gps and musikbear are right. Dsk Overture and a few other Dsk Vst's
do have a tendency to give Lmms problems.
So feel free to check out the wiki list, that musikbear linked you too.

To add on to the advice they gave you, my suggestion would be, to either look for another Classical Orchestral Vst
as an alternative. Or download some good Soundfonts.

As bear suggested, Synth 1 is another very good alternative, if you plan on making these instruments yourself.

Soundfont are a good alternative, but they are really tricky to widen, unless I'm just doing it wrong.
