A little confusion on sidechaining.

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
I'm working on a piece and I'm trying to make a side chain without using any sound to create it.

I've looked at a project where Squatro did it, and I understand what's going on until the last part. He made a peak controller in FX 7 for a preset, linked it to FX 1, and whenever the preset connected the FX 7 played the volume would go down on FX 1.

However, his preset (a kick in Audio File Processor) made no noise, but still made FX 1's volume go down.

Could someone tell me how he did that? I tried figuring it out, but got nowhere.

Here's the link to the file if you don't already have it -> https://lmms.io/lsp/?action=show&file=9901

Thanks! :)

Whoa!, that seems super complicated! i use Umcarujes method, which IMO is far more versatile than any other method, here his video on it; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Il0OH4I0-LE

Amazing song BTW!

Edit: you cant slide ZYN notes, saw that in the PF. external vsts cant do that for some reason.

Not entirely true. Since we added a PITCH control on default instrument UI, you can.
'Just' automate the PITCH-dial and calculates the slides, just as i do here in this tutorial:

for some reason
yes its true that the slide-method in piano-roll, does not work in zasfx. That is because zasfx is build on vst, and vst's does not have the ability to use the slide-note-model

Oh, ok, thanks for clearing that up for me, now, is there any future plans to possibly get this to work?
Thanks, Pankakez, it worked! :D
