From what I remember a few years back, music that has notes played/written in no particular key etc,
and is all over the place etc. is sometimes referred to, as
atonal or
atonality. (I hope I said that correctly.)
Some musicians back in the old days, made atonal musical/piano pieces too.
And some of those same musicians/others disliked, when critics and pesky critics, called their music atonal.
There is quite a controversy, surrounding the term (atonal), as some individuals/critics, have a tendency
to use the term, in the wrong context musically.
Also, a few years back, I remember an Lmms user called
djkingpin aka
Chad the DJ guy
posted an interesting remix, here on this forum, that sounded
atonal, yet interesting.
Strangely I found the track cool.
