Muting the metronome?

Hello. New to LMMS. Is there a way to quiet the metronome clicks that sound when recording from a midi instrument in the piano roll?
(I see this question has been asked before, but not answered.)
Thanks

I'm in the same boat. I tried reducing the volume of the ogg file through Audacity, but the LMMS still plays the sound. I'd appreciate some help removing it.
EDIT:
Finally got it removed. It turns out that the same files exist in "/usr/local/share/". I removed the metronome01.ogg and now I can record in peace and quiet. It would be cool to have a metronome ON/OFF button some time in a future release, though.

The solution provided by Sunnystormy is still valid (I use LMMS 1.1.3 on Ubuntu 16.04.)
For me, I couldn't find metronome01.ogg via the file browser (Nemo), but I succeeded the operation using the a terminal:
Code: Select all
/usr/share/lmms/samples/misc$ sudo mv metronome01.ogg metronone01.ogg
With this command I only changed the name of the file to metro
none01.ogg

Upcoming release has a completely new version, that will allow you to use metronome at will.
Besides that since you are new in our forum;
