Hi,

I am a new member on the forum and I am learning to work with this software.

I've got a difficulty to import tracks extension (. mid) and (. midi). The program imports, but does not play. I need to make some configuration ?

Or what would be the other files that the program imports ?

Waiting for answer, tks

when you import
projet| import| <dialog>
Lmms expect a path to a soundfont, because mdi imports are to be opend in a sf4 preset.
Download a soundfont - the best is the so called 'general-user' -make sure you scan for vira!
Place the sf4 file in a new folder in your lmms-installation
Go to your
edit| settings| path
the last option is 'default soundfont file'
point to the folder where you placed the sf4-file
save and restart lmms, and you should be able to import midi -
I actually thought, that If you do not have any soundfonts installed, you still get the midi-notes imported (not ?.. ), but there is no generator (sf4) to handle them.
If thats the case you can just drag any other preset into the empty slot.. but the right way is to import through the 'default soundfont file'
try that

i just googled on 'download soundfont'
do scan for vira.
or drag any preset into the empty soundfont preset - i tested that, and it works.

For Piano Chord Progressions including midi
Open Lmms, click on Project, click on import. Then import the chords. After that, copy and paste the chords to a vst instrument plugin (ZynAddSubFx) or a piano sample from your own library!
