Crashes when opening "My Projects"

Whenever I go to "My Projects" and try to open a song an error box will pop up saying:

'The exception Illegal Instruction
An attempt was made to execute an illegal instruction.
(0x000001d) occurred in the application at location 0x6d5595af.

Click OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program'

I downloaded LMMS 0.4.13 32-bit last night. Running Winxp Pro service pack 3. I havent make any hardware or software changes since I have downloaded the program. Before I go any further with the prog I want to fix this error in case it may cause other errors on down the road with the prog when I am in the middle of a project.

do you use any 'special' charachters in your folder or file-names?
Lmms only support name-space with english standard charachters. That would be my simple gues - Let us hear if that did it

Sorry it took so long to reply. Trying to find time to work on a few other things as well.
Whenever I try to open the Demos that comes with LMMS it crashes. I also noticed that it says "Not Responding" at the top of the program as well. I am just hoping that it will not do the same if I try to save some of my own songs and reopen them. But I guess there is a way to find that out, just do a simple short song and try to reopen it.

Do you do that from inside lmms, or is it with IE-explorer?
(Current lmms do not support file-handle from outside lmms)
If you use ie-explorer, that could br the problem
If this is not the case, im pretty much out of ideas :c
You could try a re-install or just as a test, try the rc1 release. It is only a test version, but see if it behaves different

Yea, that is when I open them from within the LMMS program. Now I notice that it crashes when I open the ogg files! lol What is going on??? lol I have tried a re-install and it does the same thing. I think I will try it again and if that doesnt work try the rc1 like you suggested. Is there a way that I could get any earlier releases if neither one of those work? Would hate to go backwords if neither of those work, but if that is the only option for now....dunno, just boggles my mind... a new computer maybe? Or just stick with guitar playing? lol
