Multiple filters on one instrument?

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
When composing music, I often need to have multiple filters on one instrument, like the ones in the LFO tab. I've searched through the plugins, and all of the filtering plugins have at least one of these issues:

1. Finetuning cannot happen (e.g. I want to cut everything below 20 Hz, but the closest option is forty-something Hz)
2. It doesn't cut ALL frequencies specified, it only cuts them partially
3. Lacks a resonance knob

All these needs are met in the LFO tab, but it only allows one filter. Is there a plugin I haven't found yet, or is there a way to use multiple filters in the LFO tab? Is what I'm asking even possible in LMMS? I'd prefer something that comes with LMMS, for some reason I can't get VSTs working. Thank you!
You can have more then one filter on an instrument.

I sometimes put reverb and delay on an instrument, through the fx tab, (effect chain)

That is prob the only way.

For help with the vst part, We first need to know youre Operating system Linux, which distro or Windows which version.

Have you tried synth1. This vst is known to work 100% on windows and Linux.

That is too vague
What exactly are the filters you are looking for?
zasfx can use a multitude of filters and effects, even down on individual voices.

The vst thing needs to be solved
gps is correct:OS + lmms version?
The built in Butterworth Low/Highpass filters both have a resonance knob and can be automated to the precise frequency you need.
@musikbear: I would like all of the filters provided in the ENV/LFO tab (everything from Lowpass to Vocal). Dual Filter is almost what I want, but even if both Filters in that plugin are the same, it doesn't cut 100% of the frequencies I'm specifying. For example, I'd want to cut all sub-audible frequencies below 20Hz, but when using Dual Filter, the Spectrum Analyzer says that there are still many sounds below 20 Hz. GLAME Butterworth doesn't work, because it doesn't allow exactly 20 Hz.

For the VST thing, I've spent many, many hours devoted to fixing my VST issue. Yes, I'm using Linux, and I'm also using LMMS 1.0.3. I've read many LMMS articles on how to fix this, but none of them worked, and I eventually just gave up. I'll make a post about the VSTs in another thread. Thank you!
