This might be due to listening a bit too much to some of Leila Wilson's (aka Woofle) stuff [link provided below]. She does a lot of 80's and 90's styled stuff. It also has some inspiration from Metroid Prime 3's Bryyo, I think. There's a hint of Middle Eastern stuff in there, that got in right when I
