Hey,

this is the first time I posted something on here.
I uploaded A clouple of my songs on soundcloud a while back for my friends to judge, they liked them but I'd like to get some more opinions and tips to improve them.

https://soundcloud.com/christianktah/edm-1-wip EDM (can't really pin the genre down)

https://soundcloud.com/christianktah/edm-wip-2 Melb Bounce

https://soundcloud.com/christianktah/trust-me Future House'ish sounding thing

I'm especially intrested in mastering and sidechaining tips. (ATM I'm just connecting the peak controller to the Fx channel)

Thanks in advance!

DJPankakez pointed a tutorial out to me on sidechaining, you can go take a look at it (I do have to say, though, your sidechaining right now sounds pretty nice). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Il0OH4I0-LE

If these are your first tracks, then you're just amazing at what you do. I'm a fan of unique basses in EDM, and you're really good at using those! What plugins do you work with?

I left you some comments on soundcloud offering small improvements, so you can go take a look at those :)

Anyway, welcome to the LMMS community! Your stuff sounds promising! :D

Thanks for the link to the tutorial I really wanted to learn how to use that compressor!

And no those aren't technically the first tracks I made, they were just the first ones that I thought were not complete garbage. :D
Now to awnser your questions about my plugins.
In the first track I used ZynAdd for the bass and super saws and I used a vst called Splash for the lead. It's pretty useful synth if you like playing with fm and you can make some great plucks with it (It's free btw).
For the second and third track I think I exclusively used Zyn for leads and the bass (except for the lead on the second track, I sampled the godzilla theme for that one).
I will probably upload my best presets if someone want's them.

And here is just a list of other plugins and effects I use.

Span (spectrum analyzer)
Fnequalizer (equalizer kind of obvious tbh )
OTT (compressor but I just use it to make the high end sound nicer)
Up Stereo
Krush (Bitcrusher)
nasty dla (delay)
And the basic Lmms stuff
Probably some more but I'm not sure.

Thanks for the Feedback!
